Progress Report wins APEX Award of Excellence!

West Palm Beach, Fla. -- Florida Medical Directors Association (FMDA), a chapter of the Columbia, MD-based American Medical Directors Association, has been awarded the APEX 2002 Award of Excellence in the One to Two Person-Produced Newsletters category for work on its statewide newsletter Progress Report.

APEX 2002 -- the 14th Annual Awards for Publication Excellence -- is an international competition that recognizes outstanding publications from
newsletters and magazines to annual reports, brochures and Web sites.
According to the APEX 2002 judges, "The awards were based on excellence in graphic design, quality of editorial content and the success of the entry in conveying the message and achieving overall communications effectiveness."

Sherry King, MD, CMD, president of FMDA said, "We have worked hard to
publish a newsletter that is reader friendly and that provides the kind of
information we hope our membership finds useful."

"As editor, it is very gratifying to be recognized but it is a team effort
and I would be remiss if I did not thank both Pharmacia and Pfizer for their
continued support of Progress Report," King added.
